Recently I have taken up several crafting hobbies, including jewelry making, creating pocket letters and detailed planner decoration. Currently I work at a small little table that I am able to move throughout the house and bring my supplies with me wherever I go. This is a quite convenient system, however, we live in a dark dank house that rarely gets any type of good lighting, and even with our lightening that we have in place and lamps, I find the lighting to be too yellow and I have a difficult time seeing without straining my eyes. This is a real problem, as I suffer from extreme migraines, and any type of eye strain is very detrimental. It’s also been a real challenge to photograph my progress ( which I share on different craft related blogs ) using the light available in my home. It’s definitely been quite frustrating.
Recently, I started using the OttLite 2-in-1 LED Magnifier Floor and Table Light. This lamp is capable of being not only a floor light, but a table top light as well. Though it is a little big for my little cart, it has worked wonderfully as a floor lamp. ( Check out what to look for in an LED Lighting here. )
This lamp is very sleek, sturdy and definitely well made. This light definitely looks quite nice in just about any situation. Though for my needs looks aren’t something I am overly concerned with, I know that many looking for a lamp to be left in a permanent position are quite interested in how it is going to fit in with their decor and location.
Words cannot express how much easier this one lamp has made my entire creating/crafting process. The light that it gives off is not only bright ( but not so much that it hurts my eyes/head ), but it is quite natural. Their is absolutely NO horrible yellow glow, no eye straining and my photos look like I have taken them in a bright naturally lit room, exactly what I was hoping for.
The magnification aspect of this lamp is also quite fabulous. I am able to easily work on small detailed projects, such as beading project, with teeny tiny seed beads. With 5-inch diameter, 2x optical grade magnifier with 4x spot magnifier, I am extremely pleased! My husband has even gotten the idea to take up building model car building/painting once again, as this would aid in the process so much!
The difference is absolutely astounding and I am super excited to see what possibilities are now open to me with my new light advantage! Not only can I save myself the strain, the frustration and the migraine, but my photos are so much better, and I am pretty excited to see what it can do for my YouTube videos! With bad lighting being the number one factor preventing me from making “Plan With Me” –Planner decor type videos, now, I feel like my possibilities are endless with my OttLife 2-in-1 LED Magnifier Floor and Table Light.
