Jack n’ Jill Natural Toothpaste & Toothbrushes

As you can tell from our video my kids thoroughly enjoyed the toothpastes and toothbrushes! The yummy flavors have sent our brushing time from a dreaded experience, to one my kids actually enjoy! They rush every day to go brush their teeth—who would have thought the day would come?!! I SERIOUSLY recommend trying out their products, especially the toothpastes, and super especially if you have a fussy brusher ;)!! They have 5 available flavors, Banana, Black Currant, Blueberry, Raspberry & Strawberry! Yum Yum!

“Jack N’ Jill is a natural toothpaste for babies, toddlers & children that is safe to swallow. It was first made in Melbourne, Australia in 1949 and it has been our family business for more than twenty years. It continues to be made in Australia and we are excited that Jack N’ Jill is now available in the USA and UK as well.

A few years ago we had our first child and immediately joined many parents the world over who are concerned about the current environmental issues and the direct effects they have on our children. We started to question everything he came into contact with, not wanting to expose him to unnecessary additives and chemicals, and felt frustrated at the lack of choices in early childhood oral hygiene. With a background in pharmacy, we set out to formulate the absolute safest toothpaste for our kids and yours. In the process, we also made it the most fun & yum!

Jack N’ Jill toothpaste is 100% safe for young children – especially because they have a tendency to swallow it, rather than spit it out! All Jack N’ Jill packaging is designed to be appealing to children and is cute enough that parents won’t mind it sitting on their bathroom vanity. Alongside the toothpaste we have designed and manufactured the first children’s toothbrushes that are made of NON GMO cornstarch, and are therefore biodegradable and recyclable.

Jack N’ Jill toothpaste has been evaluated by researchers from Skin Deep – the Environmental Working Group’s database for the safety of personal care products. Our toothpaste rates with a ‘zero’ – the safest rating they have. “

Your toothpaste tube is sealed under the cap for hygiene.
Remove the safety seal and the replace the flip-top cap.

During normal use, small amounts of crystallized toothpaste will build up on the mouth of the cap.

  • Using a clean damp cloth or wipe, remove all
toothpaste residue from around the cap opening.
  • Dry the cap with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Close flip-top lid and store tube upright (cap facing up)
in the Biodegradable Jack N’ Jill Bathroom Cup.
  • Always store oral care products as far away from the
    toilet area as possible.

It’s important to always keep your toothbrush clean, and sterilize the head regularly. When the toothbrush comes into contact with the opening of the toothpaste cap, bacteria etc. can be transferred to the tube.

Please don’t allow children to suck on the toothpaste tube. We know it tastes yummy, but it’s unhygienic (can spoil the toothpaste) and not the intended use for Jack N’ Jill. If this does occur then immediately clean the tube as above.

  • Rinse off bristles under water before and after brushing.
Run your thumb backwards and forwards across the
    bristles to clean effectively.
  • Shake off excess water.
  • Store upright in Jack N’ Jill Biodegradable Bathroom cup to
    allow bristles to air-dry.
  • For general hygiene, store toothbrush as far away from
    toilet area as possible.

Sterilizing Your Toothbrush
Plaque, as well as the interior of the mouth, contains many micro-organisms. Inevitably, these micro-organisms become trapped between the bristles of your toothbrush. Because your toothbrush is often in a moist environment, bacterial growth can flourish. That’s why it’s imperative to keep your toothbrush clean and to sterilize it regularly.

We recommend replacing toothbrushes every 8 weeks and after illness.

  • Rinse bristles as above.
  • Shake off excess water.
  • Place toothbrush in bathroom cup, head down.
  • Pour in enough hydrogen peroxide 3%** to cover head &
    bristles.
  • Leave for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse bristles under tap.
  • Shake off excess water and store in wash cup as above.
  • Sterilize once weekly.

**Hydrogen Peroxide 3% is widely available from pharmacies.

About Hydrogen Peroxide:
Hydrogen Peroxide 3% has mild and safe antimicrobial properties. It quickly breaks down to water & oxygen. It can also work as a bleach, so care must be taken when handling. As with any product of this nature, open with care and make sure cap is pointing away from body. Hydrogen Peroxide is not to be ingested.

As promised in the video, here are the ingredients for the Black Currant toothpaste: Silica-Amorphous, Veg. Glycerin, Xylitol, Ribes Nigrum Fruit, Calendula Officinalis flower, xanthan gum, water
