“Women today are conscious of the need to restrict their contact with synthetic materials, skin irritants and unnecessary chemicals and additives and demand comfort, high performance, peace of mind and integrity; this is why all Natracare organic and natural products are appreciated by women for their comfortable and reliable protection and care and responsibility for our environment.

Many gynaecologists have advised women with sensitive skin to use natracare in order to reduce their contact with chlorine bleached materials, and also products containing synthetics, latex and super absorbents made from petrochemicals.

Natracare products are made from certified organic and natural, plant-derived materials that are chemical and additive free, and biodegradable, containing only organic and natural ingredients sourced from sound ecologically managed producers and certified free from animal testing. We will never compromise on quality and reliability and continue to apply modern thinking to the use of natural materials to find intelligent and worthwhile solutions to keep Natracare the trusted and proven name it has become. We are committed to improving personal and environmental health and believe in a balanced ecologically driven lifestyle.

All products are totally-chlorine free and women can be reassured by the fact that Natracare does not contain any synthetic materials or any chemical additives such as surfactants, fragrances, dyes, or lubricants. Choosing only fully certified organic cotton removes the risk of direct exposure to residues from chemical pesticides, fertilisers, defoliants and fungicides commonly used on conventionally grown cotton.

Every year, billions of plastic laden pads and liners are disposed of by women. Most of these pads are made from over 90% crude oil plastic which goes on to pollute global environments forever. Generally the plastic waste ends up in landfill sites and the oceans of the world forever causing visual pollution and damaging marine life and ultimately the food chain. By choosing Natracare, you are saying no to crude oil plastics.

Many wet wipes widely available contain harsh foaming agents like sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), as well as preservatives such as phenoxyethanol, which is linked to dermatitis, and the parabens, recently flagged up as a concern for health. Parabens, including methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl paraben, are just one of a large group of toxic chemicals that no-one has any idea about what the long term effects are likely to be if they are used every day on the skin.

Natracare organic cotton wet wipes are of high quality, are safe and reliable and made from organic and natural plant derived ingredients which are free of harsh chemicals and toxic preservatives.” ( natracare website )

As some of you know, I primarily use cloth handmade pads. I love them, I really do,  but I do not enjoy wearing them when I go out and about ( in public ) !  So I have been faced with the question of what kind of pad to use?! I have no desire to use pads that are full of harmful chemicals you can find on every store shelf, nope, no sir. What to do, what to do…and then I found Natracare! Yippee! As you read above Natracare pads are made from certified organic and natural, plant-derived materials that are chemical and additive free, and biodegradable, containing only organic and natural ingredients ! I was and am super excited, not only because I found these for myself, but for my daughter who is nearing the age of needing them herself. I feel very very compelled to provide information and products that are going to be SAFE for my daughter to use and not just take the easy route, purchasing total trash brands from the dollar bin.  I just wish more women were aware of the chemicals that they are placing in direct contact with their bodies by using these pads…it is such a wonderful thing that many women have started diapering their babies in cloth or natural diapers, but it is such a shame they haven’t made the same changes for themselves!

I really liked these pads, they have no fragrance, they help up well, stuck on quite well, and didn’t cause me any irritation. I will continue to purchase these pads in the future to carry around in my bag and for my daughter as well.

We also used the Natracare baby wipes, they were very sturdy and worked very well! They are high quality fragrance free wipes that are also made from organic and natural ingredients that I trust on my little one’s tushie 😉 I really liked them and recommend them to all the momma’s out there!

“Babies are extra sensitive to their environments with delicate, sensitive skin and brand new immune systems that haven’t built up tolerances to the type of hazards and toxins grown-up bodies easily dispel. That’s why Natracare has created organic cotton baby wipes made with only certified organic plant and essential oils, and eco-friendly, plant-derived ingredients which are mild and gentle and biodegradable.

There are a whole range of chemicals widely used in wipes about which we need to ask the question; shouldn’t we be more cautious about using products that contain such chemicals? Unfortunately, many popular brands that parents trust unquestioningly often contain harsh foaming agents like SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), as well as synthetic preservatives such as phenoxyethanol, SHG and Parabens in their baby care products. SLS does more harm than good as it strips the skin of its protective layer and can make it a permeable pathway for the absorption of toxins into the body.

Preservatives often found in many baby care products are usually labelled as methylparaben and propylparaben but sometimes the term “food grade parabens” is also used in an effort to make parabens appear more acceptable as an ingredient. They are parabens, nevertheless, and have been flagged for caution.

Other commonly used harsh ingredients which should actively be avoided for use on sensitive baby skins are propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol (PEG), Isopropyl myristate, and formaldehyde releasing preservatives such as imidazolidinyl urea. Many baby wipes available today are made from a synthetic cloth, such as polypropylene which does not biodegrade or chlorine bleached viscose rayon.”
