First off I want to give a great big old thanks to Mom Select, Disney Side and Maria Bailey for giving us this awesome opportunity and sending us an awesome box full of great Disney goodies! Next I have to ask, have you ever had one of those experiences where everything seems to just be fighting against you? Well this year just didn’t seem to be our year for a Disney party I am afraid to say…we had to cancel FOUR times. FOUR. Yes, FOUR. If it wasn’t weather, it was sickness and vise versa! We also were faced with a bit of a budget issue. As most of you know our family lives on a teeny teeny tiny budget…I have seen so many over the top fantastic posts from the other Moms who participated and I just felt a little low, honestly. I couldn’t compete. I moped around about all of it for quite a while…Finally the weather cleared up, and thankfully, so did my attitude. I remembered, they sent me a fantastic box full of wonderful goodies, and with a little creativity we could still have a ton of fun!
We planned our party on a warm sunny day, and while not many were able to attend on such short notice after all of our cancellations, we still ended up having tons of fun! The kids enjoyed the food, the goodies, the games and just running around outside in the sunshine! I think the adults just enjoyed being out of the house for a bit 😉
I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to participate in this amazing experience and the chance for my family to show our #DisneySide ! Below I have shared a few of our many photos and hope that you will scroll through and check out our simple but good time! As is the major theme of my life, make the best out of what you have! We even went a retro with this party! Enjoy! I know we did!
We were sent so many fantastic goodies to share with our guests!
After all of our fun this sure came in handy!
I even came up with an AMAZING new recipe using these two fantastic products included in our box! ( well, the coupon was included, we had to pick up the chicken at the store 😉 )
It was VERY yummy!
I was a little nervous about our tye-dye cake from Duff, but it turned out fantastically!
I think it turned out pretty cute…even with the stache’ the kids insisted on!
Not only was it tasty, but it was pretty!!
Here is my daughter’s contribution to the party! Lite Brite! So fun!
You can celebrate an UnBirthday any day of the year!
We got creative and brought out a few of our vintage Disney records, which was a major hit!
The kids enjoyed snacks and drinks outside and even a few games!
My Son even decided to put on his Toy Story pjs to really get in the spirit 😉
My littlest guy was a bit fussy because of his new teeth, but in the end he joined in on the fun as well!
We finished up the party with a game of go fish…All in all it was a great day that everyone enjoyed! I hope we are able to participate next year as well!
