Remington’s iCoffee Opus, A Coffee Junkies Review.
As a Mother of three children, I have found that coffee is quite important…scratch that, VERY important. It keeps me running when I don’t feel like moving, and I’m not honestly sure how I would make it through the day without it’s goodness. Needless to say, I am more than interested in coffee related items, especially products that MAKE coffee.
For a while now, I have been using either my french press or a mini-single cup brewing system. These have worked just fine, but as the true coffee lover that I am, I am always on the hunt for the next best thing, so when I had the opportunity to review the iCoffee Opus, I obviously jumped at the chance. This would definitely be the biggest and most expensive coffee brewing system of any kind I had ever owned, but does bigger equal better?
When my box arrived in the mail, I have to admit, I was immediately impressed with the sheer size of the box, but also a little intimidated. Would this be complicated? Would it be bulky and overwhelming? I wasn’t sure…but the idea of being able to have the option of making a lot more coffee with the press of a button really had me excited…so let’s look at the specs—

Verdict? I love it. I love The sleek design, and even though it is large, it still looks great on my counter and isn’t too overwhelming. It has a super large reservoir ( 75 ounces! ), which I LOVE and I can change the ounce amount I desire in 1/2 ounce increments that with a little math can totally rock your coffee loving world ( holy coffee customization, Batman! ) …this definitely blows my little brewer and french press out of the water.
Another thing I love about the Opus, is that it works with ALL k-cups, the name brand, cheapies, you name it…it also comes with a nifty little reusable poptop cup that you can fill with ANY coffee you desire—so if your favorite brand doesn’t offer kcups, no problem!
This is such a great single-cup brewing system, I couldn’t be more pleased and I definitely think that for the looks, the convenience and pure performance excellence, it is definitely worth the price tag.
