With the Holidays quickly approaching, I have been trying to think of ways to engage my kids in Spreading Cheer. They love to bake and I love it that they are required to read/follow directions accurately. We decided to use this coupon and head on over to Kroger to pick up our favorite Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes—we chose Sugar Cookie, Peanut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Chip Cookie mixes! Yum Yum!
We made all three bags, but were excited to share our experience making the super duper delicious and easy peasy Sugar Cookies! We followed the instructions for the cut out cookies and used various sizes of cookie cutters to make these adorably simple delicious Sugar Cookies to share!
My 11 year old daughter was able to easily follow the directions on the bag, roll out the dough as well as cut out her shapes and help stamp Christmas inspired words on to the centers. We used stampers specifically made for using on cookies and spelled out Joy, Cheer and Santa! We thought these would be a super fun way to #SpreadCheer as well as a great idea for cookies to leave out for the big guy!
The cookies turned out beautifully and my daughter was extremely proud! They looked super simple yet elegant, taste amazing and were perfect for putting in our tin we purchased to do a surprise cookie drop on a special relatives doorstep! My kids were so excited to take part in this cookie drop off, that they have insisted on making this a family tradition—and I am definitely not opposed! What a fun family activity and a great way to #SpreadCheer to those around us!
Now that I have shared how my family having a fun time and doing our best to #SpreadCheer, I nominate YOU and your family to #SpreadCheer as well! It’s time to print your coupon ( and while you’re doing that, don’t forget to print some of the lovely FREE gift tags! ), head to your local grocery store and pick up a Betty Crocker mix to create your very own cookie basket of cheer and brighten someones day! Little acts of kindness can make all the difference in someones day, heck, entire Holiday Season! What are you waiting for ? 🙂 #SpreadCheer!
