I absolutely adore fresh flowers ( who doesn’t really? ) If I could, I think I would always have a vase of fresh flowers around! In my living room, dining room, heck I would love to have some in my bedroom as well! I recently had the opportunity to review Bouqs.com, an online flower delivery service, with fresh flowers delivered to your door straight from where they are grown…obviously I jumped on this one! The flowers I chose are beaaaaautiful orange roses called “Dawn” and are described like this : “Orange premium Roses are a magical sight when fully bloomed. Grown on a Volcano and cut-to-order, this flower bunch will blow them away like a breathtaking sunrise.”. Yes, you read that right, these beauties are grown on a volcano! How nifty is that ??
I received the flowers a day later than scheduled, though I think it was more of a fedex issue than an issue of Bouqs. They require you to be home to sign for the flowers, which left me a teensy bit perturbed since I cleared an entire day to be home, and no flowers arrived :S However, these babies were so beautiful when they arrived, all was forgiven 😉 Upon first inspection, I did feel they were a tiny bit wilted, however, on the box ( which is super nice and the flowers are packaged perfectly! ) it instructs you to remove the outer petals…I did a bit, and left a few. It also instructs you to remove a lot of the leaves and greenery that would be inside of the vase, I again ignored the suggestion ( not because it was a bad one! ), and left it…I really like the way the leaves look inside of the big jar! I know, I’m weird. But once the flowers were in the jar and setting on my table I couldn’t get over how incredibly beautiful they were! They are absolutely cheery! I couldn’t help but feel like my day was a bit brighter just having them in the room!
My over all opinion of The Bouqs is a good one 🙂 Though there were a few hiccups along the way, these were the most beautiful and long lasting flowers I have ever received, not to mention I felt pretty cool telling everyone that my roses came to me straight from a volcano! 😀 I have given my husband several hints that I wouldn’t mind receiving another Bouq in the future, and recommend this service to all of you 🙂 and with three different size/price options, Original, Deluxe and Grand, there is sure to be a flower and size option that is right for just about everyone 🙂 You can find them on their website here, as well as their Facebook here!
